Yesterday my wonderful boys took me on a date to the OKC Zoo. They have a really neat children's area, where Paul met some new friends. There were close to 15 goats running around and they all seemed to love Paul. One goat kept kissing him on the ear and he would just laugh and laugh. He must have pet every single goat there and hugged them like they were his pets. They also have a bird area where you hold this little cup of nectar and all these birds land on your arms and hands to eat the nectar. We were surrounded by them and Paul was amazed by all the tweet-tweets. Then we headed to see the lions, monkeys, rhinos, and bears. Every new animal we saw we had to stop and say "hi" a couple of times and practice what sound the animal makes. (Paul puts on a little show at each animal - My favorite was the wolf who says "WOOOOOO!!) His favorite was the gorillas! He just loved them and kept making monkey sounds and beating his chest.
After the Zoo, we headed to a great BBQ restaurant called County Line BBQ. It is one of the older restaurants in OKC and used to be a brothel back in the day. It was an interesting place to eat and the BBQ was superb!!
We all came home after lunch and took a much needed nap. Then we headed out again to Bricktown to eat at our favorite pizza joint The Wedge! The weather was beautiful so we enjoy it on the patio. Paul gets to play bocce ball when we are there but mostly likes to throw the rocks. He always has a full belly when we leave that place.
I must say I had so much fun with my boys yesterday!! I am one happy momma!!!!
